Mundakai-Chooralmala disaster intervention
On 31st January 2025, medical assistance was given to Miss. Ummu Salma, one of the affected persons of Mundakkai disaster.

Kerala Center, New York, USA in association with Neethi Vedhi distributed special financial assistance to selected survivors of the Mundakai disaster who are affected by serious ailments on 30th January 2025 at Kudumbasree hall, Meppadi. Rupees 50,000 each were distributed to 30 affected persons by the Kerala Center. Neethi Vedhi identified the most deserving persons as requested by the Kerala Center.
Adv. Fr. Stephen Mathew, President, Neethi Vedhi welcomed the participants. Mr Alex Esthappan, President, Kerala Center delivered the introductory speech explaining the activities of Kerala Centre, New York and their commitment to support the afflicted. Ms Radha, Vice President, Meppadi Grama Panchayath presided over the meeting. Mr Babu K, President, Meppadi Grama Panchayath, inagurated the program. Mr. Nasar, Mr Raju, Ms. Radhamani, Mr. Manoj and Mr Thomas Palathara felicitated the participants. Ms. Flaisy Jose proposed vote of thanks. 72 persons participated in the program.
